Fill or fit?

Fill crops the edges so the image covers the whole frame: best for photos, where a little background can go. Fit keeps the whole image and adds white margins where the shapes don't match: best for signatures and documents, where nothing may be cut off.

Pixels, not centimetres

Screens and portals measure images in pixels. If your form gives a size in centimetres, use the passport-size photo tool, or multiply: at 300 DPI, 1 cm is about 118 pixels.

Enlarging a small image to a bigger size won't add detail. It's better to start from the original photo than from a screenshot or a forwarded copy.

File size

Most forms also have a KB limit. Set it here and the image is compressed to fit after resizing. Leave it empty to keep the best quality.

FAQ

Will my photo be stretched?

No. Fill crops the overflow evenly from the edges, and Fit adds white margins. Neither changes the proportions of your face or signature.

Can I get a PNG instead of a JPG?

Yes. Choose PNG under output format. PNG files are larger, so only use it if your form asks for PNG.
